The Lincoln Funeral Train - 2015 Special Exhibit
To honor the memory of President Abraham Lincoln, we are presenting a very special display that details the mournful train trip that carried the body of President Abraham Lincoln from Washington, D.C. to Springfield, Illinois in April 14-May 4, 1865.
In addition to pictures and information about the funeral, we have a replica of the train that traveled through Indiana. If you're interested in learning more about the Lincoln Funeral Train, read this great article by Marc Chase that he wrote for the NWI Times.
